About this role:
Join a long-established, independent BMS specialist that has been delivering building controls projects for nearly 60 years. With design, panel manufacturing, installation and commissioning all delivered in-house, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your designs and see them brought to life in the workshop.
You'll join a close-knit, experienced design team in Watford, working across a variety of BMS projects with direct involvement from initial design and client approval through to manufacture and final delivery.

Role Responsibilities:
- Design BMS control systems and control panels across multiple projects.
- Produce AutoCAD drawings, including electrical schematics and panel layouts.
- Review technical specifications and produce safe, compliant designs.
- Produce BOMs and support equipment selection and ordering.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, project managers and internal engineering teams.
- Work closely with the panel workshop and test team throughout production.
- Provide technical support and resolve design queries during manufacture.
- Produce and maintain as-built drawings and project documentation.
- Manage design progress, deadlines and project costs.

Experience Required:
- Previous BMS design engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of BMS control systems and control panel design.
- Strong AutoCAD experience.
- Experience producing electrical schematics and panel layouts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
