Role Description
This full-time BMS Design Engineer role is based on-site in Dagenham. The role involves designing and developing Building Management Systems (BMS) solutions for complex infrastructure and building projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and client requirements. The BMS Design Engineer will produce detailed design documentation, including drawings, schematics, control strategies, and equipment schedules, using relevant CAD tools and engineering software. - Coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and product design teams
- Attending design reviews
- Supporting project managers and site teams to ensure smooth installation and commissioning

The role also requires:
- Reviewing technical submissions
- Resolving design issues
- Contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and BMS standards
Qualifications
- Strong Design Engineering skills with experience in building services or BMS design
- Mechanical Engineering knowledge relevant to HVAC systems, plant rooms, and building services
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for producing BMS drawings and schematics
- Electrical Engineering understanding, including control panels, wiring, and integration of BMS with electrical systems
- Experience in Product Design for control systems or building technology solutions
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering)
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for BMS and building services
- Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical information clearly, and manage priorities to meet deadlines
- Experience with BMS platforms, field devices, and control logic development is highly beneficial
- Professional accreditation or progress toward chartered status with an engineering institution is an advantage
