BMS Manager - Trend/Tridium - London (Hybrid) - £95,000 Per Annum
We are currently working with a leading building services / facilities management organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced BMS Manager to take responsibility for the technical delivery, operational performance and management of BMS services across a portfolio of high-profile commercial sites in London.
This is a senior position within the business, with responsibility for leading BMS engineering teams, managing client relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of planned, reactive and project-based BMS works. The successful candidate will combine a strong technical background in BMS and controls with proven leadership, operational and client management experience. The role will suit someone who can take ownership of a BMS function, lead engineering teams and act as the senior technical point of contact across complex commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of BMS Engineers, Technicians and subcontractors.
- Take overall responsibility for BMS technical delivery and performance across a portfolio of sites.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex BMS and controls issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, FM teams, consultants and senior stakeholders.
- Oversee planned and reactive BMS maintenance, fault finding and system optimisation.
- Manage BMS upgrades, modifications, remedial works and larger projects.
- Identify opportunities for energy reduction, system optimisation and improved building performance.
- Manage engineering resource, workloads and delivery against SLAs and contractual requirements.
- Monitor team performance and support recruitment, training and development.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors, manufacturers and BMS suppliers.
- Provide technical input into tenders, quotations, proposals and project planning.
- Review technical reports, system performance and engineering documentation.
- Work closely with M&E, FM, energy and project teams to ensure effective integration of BMS with wider building services.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, professionally and in accordance with relevant standards and client requirements.
- Take ownership of customer satisfaction and ensure issues are resolved promptly and effectively.

Strong knowledge of HVAC and associated mechanical plant is also required, including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers, pumps, valves, sensors and associated controls.
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience within the BMS / BEMS / Controls industry.
- Previous management or leadership experience within a BMS environment.
- Strong technical understanding of BMS, controls, HVAC and building services.
- Experience managing engineers, technicians and subcontractors.
- Experience working across commercial, corporate, critical or technically complex environments.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing BMS projects, upgrades, remedial works and optimisation programmes.
- Strong understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of SLAs, KPIs and contractual delivery.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sites, teams and competing priorities.
- Full UK driving licence advantageous.
