adi Intelligent Buildings BMS Project Engineer

Location – Field-based, covering customer sites throughout the UK

About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced BMS Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Building Management System (BMS) projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

As a BMS Project Engineer, you will work closely with our Project Managers, Engineers, Installation Teams and clients to deliver innovative building automation solutions across a variety of commercial and industrial environments. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of projects, coordinating engineering activities and ensuring systems are commissioned successfully to meet client requirements.

Specifically, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Delivering BMS and Power Monitoring (PME) projects from design through to commissioning and handover
  • Producing and implementing BMS software and control strategies
  • Designing and developing BMS graphics and user interfaces
  • Planning, coordinating and managing engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supporting the management of project programmes, budgets and resources
  • Coordinating installation engineers and subcontractors on site
  • Carrying out commissioning, testing and fault finding of BMS systems
  • Working closely with clients to understand requirements and provide technical support throughout project delivery
  • Ensuring all work complies with industry standards, company procedures and Group QHSE requirements

About You

We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience delivering BMS, Building Automation or Controls projects
  • Strong knowledge of BMS platforms, PLCs or industrial control systems
  • Experience with BMS software engineering, graphics development and commissioning
  • Electrical installation, control panel design or modification experience
  • The ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
  • Experience coordinating engineers, subcontractors and multiple workstreams
  • The ability to manage project priorities, budgets and deadlines effectively
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
