We’re growing at Quanta Controls and are looking for an experienced BMS Service & Commissioning Engineer to join our team.

This is a permanent, full time, field based role for an engineer with strong practical experience across BMS service, commissioning, fault finding and remedial works.

You’ll work across a varied portfolio of customer sites, solving technical problems, improving system performance and providing a professional service from diagnosis through to completion and reporting.

What you’ll be doing

  • Planned BMS service, maintenance and reactive fault finding
  • Commissioning new installations and upgrades, alongside remedial works
  • Diagnosing faults across BMS controllers, communication networks, field devices, wiring and associated HVAC plant
  • Modifying existing BMS software and control strategies as required
  • Identifying opportunities to improve system operation, reliability, comfort and energy efficiency
  • Working across both modern and legacy BMS installations
  • Liaising directly with customers, clearly explaining findings and recommended actions
  • Producing accurate and professional service and commissioning reports

What we’re looking for

  • Strong practical experience in BMS service and commissioning
  • Proficiency with Trend BMS systems is essential, including the ability to modify existing software and control strategies
  • Strong fault finding and logical problem solving skills
  • Good electrical competence and the ability to understand control panels and electrical and control drawings
  • Good knowledge of BMS controlled HVAC plant and associated systems
  • Strong customer communication and written reporting skills
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and the wider engineering team
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to customer sites across the UK

Additional skills we’d particularly value

  • Writing new BMS software and control strategies
  • Tridium Niagara knowledge
  • Control panel modification
  • BMS graphics creation and modification

While we support customers nationwide, we would particularly welcome applications from engineers based across central southern England, the M4 corridor or the wider South East.
