BMS Validation Engineer (5+ Years)
Job type- Long term contract role with inside IR35
Location- Banbury, UK- 5 Days on-site
Note: No sponsorship is available
Job Summary:
Responsible for BMS firmware and hardware validation for a 400V high-voltage battery system, covering MiL, SiL, and HiL testing. Ensure robust, safe, and requirements-compliant BMS software through 100% test coverage, automated regression testing, defect detection, and ISO 26262 verification evidence. Collaborate with BMS software, base software, and systems engineering teams to ensure production readiness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute MiL/SiL/HiL test cases for SoC, SoH, fault handling, contactor control, operating modes, and thermal management.
- Own and maintain BMS HiL test benches, plant models, and automated test scripts.
- Ensure requirements-to-test traceability using tools such as Polarion.
- Perform ISO 26262 / ASIL verification, coverage analysis, and validation reporting.
- Analyze failures, perform root-cause analysis, and track defects using Jira.
- Validate CAN, UDS, and XCP communication using DBC/CDD/A2L and network analysis tools.
- Automate regression testing and integrate MiL/SiL/HiL pipelines with Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Software Engineering, Controls, or related field.
- 5+ years in automotive embedded validation, preferably EV/BMS/High-Voltage ECU.
