Eastlight Community Homes are seeking two experienced and visionary individuals to join our Board.

Ideal Candidates

Ideal candidates will be passionate about co-design, the importance of resident voice, and understand how we operate within the ever-evolving financial and regulatory landscape. Ideally, they will also have knowledge of the challenges facing the social housing sector and understand who makes up our customer base to help shape our services and strategies to best support outcomes for them.

About Us

With a G1 V1 governance and financial viability rating, and a C1 consumer grade, over the coming years we are delivering on our ambitious Corporate Strategy– our forward vision, co-designed with residents. To realise our plans, we seek two Board Members - who share our purpose and embody ambition, inclusivity, and accountability in their work and in their behaviour.

They will be eager to join an innovative and diverse organisation with a solid financial foundation and clear vision for housing across Essex and the East.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
