Remuneration: £9,174 per annum

This job post will be advertised for a minimum period of two weeks on LinkedIn. After this time, please apply directly to https://www.gatenbysanderson.com/job-search/?search=southway&action=search until the closing date of 9am, Monday 7 September 2026.

Help shape the future of social housing in South Manchester.

This is a unique opportunity to join the Board of a new organisation being created through the merger of Southway and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group (WCHG). Bringing together two highly regarded, community-focused housing providers, the new organisation will own and manage more than 20,500 homes, becoming the largest housing provider in Greater Manchester.

With a shared commitment to residents, communities, and neighbourhoods, the merger will create a stronger, more resilient organisation with the scale, capacity, and financial strength to deliver even greater social impact. Guided by the principle of 'Large and Local', the new organisation will combine the benefits of scale with a deep understanding of the communities it serves. This is an opportunity to positively impact a significant new housing provider from the very beginning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
