Company Description

Dogstar Foundation is a small, mission-driven charity working to end the street animal overpopulation crisis in Sri Lanka. The organization focuses on improving the health and welfare of street dogs and cats through feeding, vaccination, and sterilization programs, as well as coaching the next generation of Sri Lankan veterinarians. All programs are locally led and culturally sensitive, targeting root causes of animal suffering for long-term impact. Dogstar Foundation believes that small acts of kindness can create lasting change and relies on a global community of animal lovers to power its work. Prospective trustees join a committed team striving to end animal suffering in Sri Lanka while amplifying compassionate action.

Role Description

The Board Trustee role is a volunteer, remote position responsible for providing strategic oversight, governance, and support to Dogstar Foundation’s mission and programs. Trustees participate in regular board meetings, review organizational performance, and help ensure legal, ethical, and financial compliance. Day-to-day activities may include advising on strategy, reviewing budgets and policies, supporting fundraising initiatives, and acting as an ambassador for the charity with partners, donors, and the wider community. Trustees collaborate with fellow board members and senior staff to strengthen organizational resilience, champion animal welfare, and expand the charity’s impact. The role requires a willingness to commit time for meetings, preparation, and occasional ad hoc consultation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
