Join a Growing Team as a Boat Builder/Restorer
In a brand-new, climate-controlled facility where craftsmanship and quality are top priorities, you will build, restore, repair, and maintain a variety of vessels while assisting with shop operations and collaborating closely with a skilled team of professionals.
About the Role
As a Boat Builder/Restorer, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional workmanship, ensuring every vessel meets the highest standards of safety, durability, and performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft and is passionate about bringing boats back to life and creating quality products that stand the test of time.

$32.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience

Essential Job Functions
- Evaluate damaged gelcoat surfaces and determine the most effective repair and restoration approach
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers to ensure proper adhesion and a high-quality finish
- Mix, tint, and apply gelcoat materials with precision, accurately matching colors and textures to achieve seamless repairs
- Utilize specialized equipment, including sanders, polishers, buffers, and spray equipment, to restore and refine surface finishes
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure all work meets company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety requirements

Qualifications
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise in gelcoat and paint touch-ups, as well as fiberglass repair, with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Working knowledge of marine mechanical and electrical systems is highly desirable
- Proficient and safety-conscious in the use of hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and interact professionally with clients
