Counter Lead

The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting their Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through consistently remaining consumer-focused.

They are accountable for achieving this by:

  • Reflecting a credible and professional Brand image to all internal and external consumers at all times
  • Maximising sales through selling, providing excellent service and adhering to retail standards
  • Contributing to efficiencies by following store/Brand/Company Procedures and guidelines -Aligning with daily and weekly targets
  • Ensuring personal awareness of all additional sales avenues (e.g., eventing, Omni and digital channels)
  • Keeping up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities
  • Effectively managing social media, leveraging opportunities to drive the business and protect and enhance the Brand image
  • Delivering the Brand Strategy, ensuring the execution of an effective local plan
  • Planning and implementing local marketing & events initiatives aligned to Retailer activity
  • Delivering excellence in service execution, ensuring measures continually and visibly improve service levels while fostering zero complaint mindset and surprise and delight culture.
  • Acting as a Brand Ambassador, representing and embodying Brand values
  • Managing refunds and complaints in line with Company guidelines and ensuring mutually satisfactory resolutions, consulting the Area Manager where necessary
  • Utilising digital tools to stay informed and up to date
  • Delivering a consumer recruitment and retention strategy to build a loyal customer base

Operations

  • Planning to ensure excellence in standards (product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, pricing)
  • Reviewing retail standards daily to maintain required standards
  • Ensuring deliveries, stock movements, and associated administration are completed within agreed Company timeframes
  • Complying with auditable processes and administration according to Company guidelines, taking corrective action when risks are identified
  • Meeting all information request deadlines accurately
  • Minimising stock loss by implementing Company Security Policies and Procedures
  • Maintaining a safe working environment for consumers, adhering to Company and Retailer Policies and Procedures
  • Ensuring health & safety responsibilities achieve a minimum 'Acceptable' grading during audits

Commerciality

  • Managing daily replenishment, taking corrective action as needed
  • Maximising sales performance using all commercial reports before making commercial decisions
  • Planning and delivering visual merchandising layout in line with guidelines and timescales
  • Identifying and resolving stock packaging issues, consulting the Area Manager if unresolved
  • Managing promotions and discounts strictly according to Company guidelines
  • Identifying trends and suggesting improvements to product performance

Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced retail and/or consumer-facing environment
  • Ability to drive self-development
  • Commercial understanding and awareness of the industry
  • Effective communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
