Counter Lead
About the Role The Counter Lead is responsible for supporting the Brand in driving sales turnover and market share through a consistent consumer-focused approach. They set the standard for all internal and external interactions while aligning local operations with broader company strategy.
Responsibilities
Consumer & Service Excellence
- Represent a professional and credible Brand image to all stakeholders
- Maximise sales through exceptional selling skills, service standards, and retail adherence
- Align with daily/weekly targets and monitor sales via additional channels (events, Omni-channel, digital engagement)
- Monitor competitor activities and capitalise on missed opportunities
- Manage social media channels while protecting and enhancing the Brand image
- Deliver the Brand Strategy via an effective localised plan
- Drive a zero-complaint culture by prioritising excellence in service execution
- Lead as an Ambassador for the Brand, embodying values in all actions

Operations
- Ensure standards for product, housekeeping, displays, messaging, and pricing are consistently met
- Conduct daily retail standards reviews and address deviations
- Manage deliveries, stock movements, and administration within agreed Company timelines
- Maintain auditable processes, comply with guidelines, and take corrective action if risks arise
- Facilitate compliance with Company and Retailer health & safety policies to achieve ‘Acceptable’ audit grades
Commercial Performance
- Optimise daily replenishment based on sales data
- Maximise sales performance using commercial reports
- Execute visual merchandising within agreed timelines and guidelines
- Address stock package issues, taking escalations to the Area Manager if necessary
- Implement promotions and discounts in alignment with Company policies
- Identify emerging trends and suggest innovations for product performance

Key Additional Responsibilities
- Manage all refunds and complaints efficiently, escalating where required
- Leverage digital tools to maintain knowledge updates
- Drive a consumer recruitment strategy to build loyalty and retention
- Stay updated on product knowledge to anticipate and meet consumer needs
Requirements The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or consumer-facing role
- Commercial awareness of the industry
- Strong communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
- Ability to self-develop and drive competency growth
