Our Group Exercise Instructors get our customers moving. With timetables packed full of a diverse range of classes, as a Southwark Leisure Class Instructor, you will welcome all customers, design and deliver high quality classes and ensure all participant’s individual needs and abilities are catered for. Instructors are expected to stay up-to-date on knowledge pertaining to group fitness topics and educational and safety standards.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated Les Mills Body Pump and/or Body Attack Instructors to join our growing group exercise team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire members, deliver exceptional fitness experiences, and help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants of all abilities.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality Les Mills Body Pump and/or Body Attack classes in line with Les Mills standards and choreography.
- Create a motivating, engaging, and inclusive class atmosphere.
- Demonstrate exercises safely and effectively, providing modifications where required.
- Encourage members to achieve their fitness goals while maintaining excellent class retention.
- Ensure all equipment is set up, used safely, and stored correctly.
- Promote health and safety standards at all times.
- Build positive relationships with members and provide outstanding customer service.
- Attend Les Mills quarterly workshops and keep programme certifications up to date.
- Support the growth and promotion of the group exercise timetable.
What We're Looking For
Successful Candidate Will Be:

- Confident in leading and engaging large groups.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic.
- Customer-focused, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Committed to delivering a high-quality fitness experience and exceptional customer service.
- Current Les Mills Body Pump and/or Body Attack Certification.
- Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- A genuine passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual in their approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information
- Closing Date: 20th October 2026
- Interview Date: W/C 27th October 2026
- Job type – Permanent and Casual
- Will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet the needs of the service.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
