Body Shop Estimator

Whitby Toyota is seeking an experienced and motivated Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair estimating, exceptional customer service skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and document vehicle damage, utilizing industry-standard estimating software (Mitchell, Audatex, etc.)
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates, including parts, labour, and materials costs
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters to negotiate claim settlements
- Maintain open communication with customers throughout the repair process, providing updates and addressing concerns
- Source and order necessary repair parts
- Monitor repair progress to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Body Shop Estimator
- Strong understanding of automotive repair techniques and industry best practices
- Experience in automotive estimating software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
