Bodyshop Manager
Salary: £65,000 - £91,400 OTE
Hours: 50 hours per week including paid breaks, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

Pybus Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and driven Bodyshop Manager to join a leading accident repair centre in York.
This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a busy, modern repair facility, ensuring exceptional standards of quality, customer service, productivity, and team performance are maintained at all times.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the workshop while supporting and developing the team. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will work in a fast-paced, professional environment where operational excellence and customer satisfaction are at the heart of everything you do.

Key Responsibilities
The role will include, but is not limited to:
- Ensure the team is ready to begin work at 7:00am, including opening the workshop and preparing equipment.
- Hold daily morning meetings to allocate work, communicate targets, and address operational issues.
- Oversee the correct use of equipment, tools, and PPE, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
- Liaise with senior management regarding vehicle progress, workload, and operational challenges.
- Ensure repair management systems are updated accurately to provide customers with timely progress updates.
- Order parts for upcoming repairs at least three business days in advance where possible.
- Manage workshop capacity and vehicle throughput effectively.
- Ensure all repair documentation and image records are completed accurately.
- Monitor and control wet and dry stock levels.
- Maintain quality control standards throughout every stage of the repair process.
- Drive performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction across the operation.
- Support the ongoing development and wellbeing of team members.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Bodyshop Manager, Workshop Manager, or similar leadership role within the accident repair industry.
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and workshop operations.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong IT and systems proficiency.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative approach with a commitment to supporting and developing others.
- Results-driven with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer service.
