Bodyshop Manager

Salary - £60000 plus Bonus
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk

Pybus Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading accident repair business for an experienced Bodyshop Manager to oversee a busy and successful repair centre in Mildenhall.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven automotive leader to take responsibility for site performance, team development, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence within a growing organisation that offers long-term career prospects and progression opportunities.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Bodyshop operation, ensuring customer service agreements and business objectives are achieved whilst maintaining profitability, efficiency, and high-quality repair standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan resources and equipment levels in line with budgets and financial targets.
  • Establish and maintain effective workflow and capacity planning within the Bodyshop.
  • Ensure workshop loading systems are managed efficiently, meeting all operational targets and deadlines.
  • Manage daily production coordination and performance.
  • Monitor and review key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying and addressing any areas of underperformance.
  • Manage customer complaints from initial contact through to resolution, conducting root cause analysis where required.
  • Promote effective communication across all departments, driving engagement and accountability.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, monitor objectives, and identify training and development needs.
  • Lead recruitment activities in partnership with HR and senior management.
  • Drive employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives.
  • Support apprentice development and monitor training progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and audit requirements.
  • Lead quality and accreditation initiatives, including industry standards where required.
  • Provide support to other sites within the business when needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of the accident repair and bodyshop industry.
  • Previous management experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Experience managing operational processes, administration, and financial performance.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle construction, repair techniques, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of E.P.A. and C.O.S.H.H requirements.
  • Understanding of BSI standards and accreditation processes.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership abilities.
