Bodyshop Technician Painter/Prepper

Location: Milton Keynes

Shift Patterns: Monday-Friday. Day time hours (08:00-16:00)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Here at DHL, we keep the automotive industry moving, and we're looking for a skilled Bodyshop Technician Painter/Prepper to join our Finished Vehicle Solutions operation in Milton Keynes. If you take pride in delivering flawless finishes, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in preparing vehicles to the highest standards before they reach our customers.

A Typical Day May Involve

  • Carry out vehicle repairs to the highest standards using manufacturer and customer-approved repair methods, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to agreed quality standards
  • Complete strip, fit, preparation, and finishing work, including filler repairs, bonding, and riveting techniques, in line with OEM guidelines
  • Take ownership of repairs from start to finish, ensuring vehicles are completed on time and ready for customer bookings and delivery
  • Accurately record repair times, clockings, and documentation in line with company procedures and quality requirements
  • Work collaboratively with Team Leaders, Supervisors, Controllers, and wider workshop teams to achieve repair targets and resolve inspection or repair queries
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment, adhering to all Health & Safety standards and working time regulations
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support changing workloads, undertake additional training, and assist with priority repairs to meet business and customer demands

This Role Would Suit People Who

  • Have previous experience in motor vehicle refinishing (Bodyshop) or similar sector
  • Hold a Level 3 City and Guilds or other qualification in vehicle body repairs and paint or equivalent
  • Possess strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Have a proven ability to carry out localised vehicle repairs to a high standard
  • Are capable of working under pressure and meeting productivity and quality targets
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving license
