Astutes Power Team are recruiting for a Boiler Combustion Engineer to support a fleet of Biomass and Energy from Waste Power Stations across the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities and duties of the Boiler Combustion Engineer role
Reporting To The Director Of Plant Performance, You Will
- Optimise boiler and plant operations to deliver safe, stable and efficient performance while meeting environmental and operational standards across the fleet.
- Analyse plant performance and operational data to identify anomalies, efficiency losses and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate boiler fouling, erosion and operational challenges, provide technical solutions and support root-cause investigations and troubleshooting activities.
- Support plant performance and maintenance activities across the fleet, including outage inspections, performance testing and the development of recommendations to improve reliability and availability.
- Develop and enhance engineering tools, models and methodologies, while sharing knowledge, lessons learned and best practices across the team.

Professional Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Mechanical or Marine Engineer with a strong interest in thermodynamics
- A HNC / HND / OND or Degree qualification in a relevant engineering field
- Prior experience with boiler and combustion systems in power plants or other energy facilities.
- Full, clean UK Drivers License and willingness to travel UK wide
