Electrician: Boiler Wire-Ups

Location: North Yorkshire

Salary: A GBP 20 an hour

A M Hardy Electrical Ltd is currently seeking a qualified Electrician to join our growing team.

We're looking for a qualified Electrician to complete boiler wire-ups and associated electrical works across domestic properties.

You'll work alongside heating engineers, wiring boilers, thermostats, and heating controls while ensuring every installation is safe, compliant, and completed to a high standard.

The role will primarily involve domestic electrical work, with occasional commercial contracts and maintenance tasks. With most of the work in the local area, prior experience in this field is highly desirable.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Completing electrical wire-ups for boiler installations and replacements
  • Wiring thermostats, programmers, zone valves, and heating controls
  • Carrying out testing, fault-finding, and remedial electrical work
  • Replacing faulty wiring, controls, sockets, and electrical components
  • Completing site-specific health and safety risk assessments
  • Identifying and reporting unsafe or non-compliant installations
  • Updating job tickets and certification using a PDA system
  • Working closely with heating engineers, planners, and residents

Skills And Qualifications

  • Fully qualified Electrician with City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, AM2, and an ECS Gold Card.
  • Experience wiring domestic boilers and heating controls
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Positive and professional approach
  • Strong testing and fault-finding skills
  • Legal right to work in the UK

  • Holiday entitlement starting at 28 days per year (including bank holidays), increasing by one day per year after your first year of service, up to a maximum of 35 days (including bank holidays).
