Boiler Engineer (Field Based) – Aldershot / Andover / Farnborough / Fleet / Guildford / Oxford / Reading / Salisbury / Southampton / Swindon / Winchester – up to £47,000 + Overtime

Pay: Up to £47,000 basic + overtime (at 1.5x salary rate)

Location: Hampshire / Surrey, with field-based coverage across SE England

Permanent

Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, pension (5% employee / 3% employer), corporate eyecare scheme, and discretionary benefits including group life assurance and private medical insurance after probation

Field-based role covering temporary heating and cooling plant across the region – company vehicle role with regular travel to client sites

Boiler Engineer (Field Based) – Company Overview:

Our client is an established name in temporary plant hire, providing heating and cooling solutions to commercial and industrial customers across the UK. As demand across their SE England territory continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Boiler Engineer to join their operations team, installing, servicing and maintaining temporary heating and cooling equipment to the highest safety and performance standards.

Boiler Engineer (Field Based) – Role and Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission temporary heating and cooling systems, ensuring they meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Service heating and cooling systems ahead of delivery, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Communicate clearly with clients throughout, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, safety inspections and customer interactions, preparing reports as required
  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety regulations, codes of practice and industry standards
  • Keep tools and equipment in proper working order, promptly reporting any maintenance or replacement needs
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
  • Stay current with industry advancements and best practice relating to gas systems and appliances

Boiler Engineer (Field Based) – Skills and Experience:

Essential qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, ICAE1

Desirable: 18th Edition, OFTEC qualifications, F-Gas qualifications

Desirable: previous chiller experience

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience installing, servicing and maintaining commercial heating and cooling plant
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • A safety-first mindset, with a clear understanding of relevant codes of practice
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and as part of a wider operations team
  • Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel across the SE England region
