About the Role
Commerzbank is seeking a highly motivated Bond Sales Intern to join its Capital Markets team in London.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced sales professionals on a desk which covers UK institutional clients and Central Banks across Rates, Sovereigns & Agencies (SSA), Covered Bonds and Investment Grade Credit in both Primary and Secondary Markets. The role offers direct exposure across the bonds value chain through close interaction with Bond Trading, Bond Syndicate, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Research and Relationship Management teams.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad understanding of fixed income markets, investor behaviour and capital markets distribution within a leading European bond franchise.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Bond Sales team with day-to-day activities across primary and secondary fixed income markets.
- Monitor market developments, investor activity and relative value opportunities.
- Assist with the preparation of client materials, market updates and sales reports.
- Contribute to business analytics, reporting and process automation initiatives.
- Assist with client onboarding, KYC, account maintenance and regulatory processes.
Candidate Profile

Education
- Recent graduates (within 24 months) from undergraduate or postgraduate (Master's) degree programmes with a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent).
Skills & Experience
- Strong interest in financial markets and fixed income products, demonstrated through internships, academic studies, market research or extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Python or VBA is beneficial but not essential.

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
