Bonus Scheme Analyst
Salary: Up to £46,000 based on skills and experience
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid working (office based in Birmingham) – typically 2 days in the office per week

Make a Difference
The role will deliver reward reporting, insight, modelling and benchmarking to support bonus strategy, ensure remuneration arrangements remain commercially effective and compliant, and contribute to the development of broader reward initiatives across the company. With regular interaction across the company with HR and senior stakeholders to design and manage variable pay schemes.
Your Impact
Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
- Take ownership of the design, governance and delivery of reward and incentive programmes, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Administer bonus calculations, ensuring payments are processed accurately and queries are resolved efficiently.
- Produce financial models to assess proposed reward initiatives, measuring potential financial, commercial and employee impacts to support planning decisions.
- Take a lead in reviewing and enhancing variable pay schemes to ensure that they continue to drive desired behaviours and support business priorities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of annual remuneration activities, including salary reviews, benchmarking, bonus processes and related reward initiatives.
- Support reward governance and compliance requirements through remuneration reporting, pay equity analysis and regulatory oversight

What You’ll Bring
- Strong commercial and customer focus and ability to see the end customer impact of all decisions and actions.
- Proactive approach and ability to plan, anticipating the impact of upcoming change.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with advanced Excel capability.
- Experience of financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Understanding of the business objectives and plans with the ability to interpret these in line with the key requirements of the role.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex matters in a simple manner.
- Understanding of budgets and cost management.
- Ability to establish long-term solid partnerships and relationships demonstrating teamwork and collaboration across the Society.
- Experience of reward benchmarking and market analysis.
- Understanding of reward governance and remuneration risk management within Financial Services.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience presenting to senior leaders and governance forums.
