Description
We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. This role involves managing the day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients and delivering accurate, reliable financial records. You will work autonomously on your own client portfolio while supporting the wider team in meeting business goals. Full-time and part-time applications will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, completing bookkeeping tasks accurately and to deadline.
- Process data entry for the purchase and sales ledgers.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure tax compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and reports.
- Process payroll for clients, using BrightPay where applicable.
- Maintain accounting software systems for clients, such as Xero.
- Build strong client relationships and offer trusted advice.
- Support ad hoc financial and administrative tasks.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a bookkeeper in an accountancy practice.
- Proficiency with Xero and other accounting technologies.
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
- Good personal organisation and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Requirements
- Payroll experience is an advantage, ideally with BrightPay.
- Knowledge of Dext would be an advantage.
- Proactive approach to technology and process improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
