We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us at our friendly Distribution Centre on Teignmouth Road, Torquay. Whether you're looking to meet new people, learn new skills, stay active, or simply give something back to your community, we'd love to welcome you.

You'll be part of a supportive team of staff and volunteers who work together to ensure every donation has the greatest possible impact for Rowcroft Hospice.

No previous experience is needed, and full training will be provided. Initially, you'll mainly help with our book donations, but there may be opportunities to get involved in other areas as you gain experience.

You Could Be Involved In

  • Receiving and processing donated items.
  • Preparing and organising stock for our shops.
  • Sorting books and researching valuable titles for sale through our online platforms. (full training provided)
  • Helping to maximise recycling and reduce waste.
  • Keeping our workspace area safe, tidy and well organised.
  • Supporting the team with a variety of day-to-day Distribution activities.

Flexible volunteering hours are available to fit around your other commitments.
