Overview

We’re looking for an ambitious individual who is ready to learn quickly and join our Booker Group & Onestop team (part of the Tesco Business Unit) working in the Booker Group sub-team. Distinguished by our energetic, proactive, and determined nature, our sales teams combine a strategic and consultative approach; utilising incisive consumer data to help both PepsiCo and our customers flourish.

This is a very exciting time to be joining the Booker Group & broader Tesco Group BU and a fantastic opportunity to build on the great work as we develop plans to maximise performance. This is an opportunity to gain critical experience working on our biggest wholesale account. Booker Group has a diverse customer base and you will gain experience across Wholesale, Symbols, Independent Retail, Forecourts, and Catering.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Quaker portfolio across Booker Group (Wholesale, Retail & Booker Retail Partners). Full P&L responsibility, ownership of JBP negotiations + tracking, build of forecasting, design promotional plan + execute with Booker
  • Lead internal and external PepsiCo & Booker Group field agenda in partnership with PepsiCo Field team (i.e. periodic priorities, NPD, distribution & execution initiatives)
  • Develop and nurture external relationships across Booker branches, Booker Retail & Booker Catering sales teams (i.e. Branch days and Sales Team meetings)
  • Ownership of the ‘Hero 30’ retail distribution and ‘Premium & Mainstream’ catering distribution initiatives ensuring progress is tracked, ranked, and published with all key stakeholders aligned
  • Work closely with our commercial and shopper marketing team on planning and implementation of our in-store, in-outlet, in-depot, and digital execution
  • Provide periodic promotional and NPD performance analysis
  • Support on planning and delivery of all internal and external events and meetings

  • Account management experience – notably an understanding of a P&L, forecasting of future sales pipeline, optimisation of promotional plan, tracking JBP agreement
  • Experience of internal and external networking to deliver results
  • Strong self-awareness, with ability to flex style to audience (front line sales to Director level wiring both internally and externally)
  • Drive for results and strong proactivity to initiate ideas into action
  • Demonstrates perseverance and resilience in the pursuit of goals
  • Confronts and works to resolve tough issues
  • Exhibits a "can-do" attitude and a willingness to take on significant challenges
  • Successful record of delivering results and continually demonstrating a sense of urgency
  • Well-developed analytical skills, combined with strong IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint – requirement to build clear and powerful presentations and reporting documents
