Bookings Coordinator

We are looking for a proactive, resourceful, and persuasive Bookings Coordinator to manage booking requests for clients by securing the appropriate subcontracted interpreter. This role demands strong negotiation skills, initiative, and the ability to make strategic decisions that balance fulfilling client needs with managing interpreter availability and costs. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver efficient solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Actively secure availability from freelance interpreters to fulfill client requests.
  • Make informed decisions to ensure bookings are completed within budget while preserving profit margins.
  • Negotiate interpreter rates when needed to align with established pricing structures.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, professional relationships with both linguists and clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and interpreters, setting clear expectations.
  • Efficiently manage urgent or last-minute booking requests, ensuring a timely solution.

  • Proven experience in booking coordination or scheduling.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent ability to make independent decisions and manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Using your own initiative and being able to think out of the box.
