We’re looking for an organised, people-focused and commercially driven Bookings & Events Manager to join the Dodo team.
About Dodo Pub Co
Dodo Pub Co is an independent pub group built around brilliant food, great drinks and neighbourhood spaces people genuinely want to spend time in. From award-winning burgers and Neapolitan pizzas to buzzing beer gardens, live sport and community events, we’re passionate about creating experiences that keep people coming back.
As our Bookings & Events Manager, you’ll own the customer journey from enquiry to event, helping turn bookings into memorable experiences across the Dodo estate.
Whether it’s a birthday party, corporate gathering, Christmas celebration, sports screening or private hire, you’ll be the person ensuring every event is organised, communicated and delivered brilliantly.
This isn’t an admin role. It’s a commercial role focused on driving bookings, maximising revenue and delivering exceptional hospitality.

- Handle enquiries from first contact through to event handover.
- Coordinate birthdays, celebrations, private hire and corporate events.
- Manage deposits, pre-orders and guest communications.
- Ensure pub teams have everything they need to deliver exceptional events.
- Identify opportunities to upsell food, drinks packages and private spaces.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
