About Goom Electrical

Goom Electrical is a friendly, family-run electrical contractor based in St Albans. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised, motivated and confident Booking Officer to join our growing team.

This is a varied and important role within the business, combining customer service, appointment booking, administration and contract support.

You will work closely with residents, engineers, clients and colleagues to ensure appointments are booked efficiently, records are maintained accurately and our customers receive an excellent level of service.

The Role

As a Booking Officer, your responsibilities will include:

• Booking and managing appointments with residents by telephone and post.
• Coordinating appointments according to engineers' geographical areas and daily workloads.
• Contacting residents at short notice to replace reported "no access" appointments.
• Liaising professionally with residents, engineers, clients, colleagues and management.
• Responding to client emails and requests within agreed timescales.
• Contacting engineers in the morning and at midday to confirm attendance and updating the Engineer Register.
• Maintaining accurate booking information and updating trackers throughout the day.
• Preparing, drafting and posting letters to tenants and residents.
• Maintaining accurate daily summaries and payment applications.
• Keeping contract records on our ATS accurate and up to date.
• Reviewing engineers' paperwork daily and following up on missing documentation.
• Ensuring certificates and supporting paperwork are issued to clients within required timescales.
• Consistently achieving agreed daily KPIs, targets and objectives.
• Completing general administration duties, including preparing materials, trackers, reports and daily summaries.
• Supporting, training and coaching junior members of the administration team.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and managers to improve service quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Supporting the continued growth and profitability of the business.
