Company Description Hunter Gee Holroyd is an award-winning firm of Chartered Accountants serving clients from offices in York, Filey, and Easingwold. The firm provides accountancy and business consultancy services primarily to owner-managed and family-owned businesses. With a focus on small to medium-sized enterprises, Hunter Gee Holroyd supports clients in reaching their full potential through practical and timely business advice.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bookkeeper role based in Leeds. You will:

  • Accurately maintain client bookkeeping records using cloud accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and process invoices and supplier payments.
  • Prepare VAT returns for review, ensuring records are complete and submissions are accurate and timely.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
  • Work confidently with Xero, Dext and Microsoft 365 to support clients.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and respond to day-to-day bookkeeping queries.
  • Work closely with accountants and managers to provide an excellent client service.

Qualifications

  • Bookkeeping qualification desirable, AAT Level 3 is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in Xero, Excel, MS Office.
  • Someone with acute attention to detail and is can work well with others.
