About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Welch & Co Southwest Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all specifications and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and project management methodologies. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of all project activities.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience of at least 5 years in project management within the construction industry is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of construction contracts, health and safety regulations, and quality standards. Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera are required. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed are also necessary.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee multiple construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
- Monitor project progress regularly, identify potential issues early, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports for senior management.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation to stakeholders and clients.
- Maintain high standards of quality control throughout all phases of construction.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services, negotiating with suppliers for optimal terms.
