Bookkeeper – Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities
📍 Ipswich or Felixstowe, Suffolk
💷 £24,780 – £30,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
🕐 Full-Time or Part-Time | Permanent
We’re recruiting two Bookkeepers to join an established accountancy practice providing accounting, taxation, compliance and business support services to individuals and businesses across a variety of sectors.
This is a great opportunity for someone with broad bookkeeping experience who would like to develop their career within a supportive accountancy environment.
The Role
You’ll support a varied portfolio of clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting requirements, including:
- Preparing VAT returns – training can be provided
- Completing bookkeeping using a range of accounting software
- Supporting the accounts team with client and internal projects
- Occasionally attending client premises
- Progressing towards managing your own portfolio of regular bookkeeping clients

What We’re Looking For
You’ll have previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant or similar. Broad bookkeeping experience is essential – candidates whose experience is limited solely to sales ledger will not be suitable. Experience within an accountancy practice, preparing VAT returns or using Xero would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

Working Hours
Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week, ideally 7.5 hours per day.
Part-Time: Minimum 2 days per week, ideally Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
A flexible working policy is also available.
