Role Description
The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial records, including processing invoices, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank accounts. Responsibilities include:

- Preparing and updating financial reports
- Recording journal entries

The role also involves using accounting software to ensure accurate data entry, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting management with financial information for decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Brighton and Hove Area, working closely with operations and management to keep financial processes organized and transparent.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate record-keeping, ledger maintenance, and journal entries (accounting).
- Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and support general finance activities.
- Proficiency with accounting software and related digital tools used in small business or retail environments.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with operations, sales, and management teams.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or finance; experience in retail, catering, or hospitality is an advantage.
- Relevant certification or qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance is preferred but not mandatory.
