Role Description
This part-time Bookkeeper role is an on-site position based in Hay-On-Wye. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including recording daily transactions, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts. The role includes assisting with the preparation of financial statements, monitoring income and expenses, and supporting basic budgeting and cash flow tracking. The Bookkeeper will also work with accounting software to manage invoices, receipts, and supplier payments, while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations. Collaboration with management to provide clear financial information and support decision-making is an important part of the day-to-day work.

- Candidates should possess strong Bookkeeping skills, including accurate recording of transactions and account reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing and understanding Financial Statements and basic Finance principles.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with Accounting Software and creating Journal Entries (Accounting).
- Candidates should possess strong numeracy, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain organized records.
- Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to work independently on-site with minimal supervision.
- Relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting for small businesses; formal accounting or finance training or certification is beneficial.
