Part-Time Bookkeeper - Southwell Nottinghamshire - 20 hours per week
£30,000 - £35,000 FTE - 3 Month Fixed Term Contract
This is a contract role for a part-time bookkeeper working 20 hours per week with flexibility around days/times, etc. The initial contract will be for 3 months, but there is scope for extension. The ideal candidate will be well organised and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate bank reconciliations
- Post journals and maintain the general ledger
- Process invoices, ensuring timely and accurate data entry
- Manage payment runs, ensuring compliance with company procedures
- Support payroll processing
- Support with audits as needed
Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping experience with a good understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Solid experience in bank reconciliations, journal entries, invoice posting, payment runs, and payroll
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications preferred
