Are you looking for a varied, operationally focused finance role where your work genuinely makes a difference?
We're partnering with a growing fundraising organisation to recruit a Bookkeeper to join their friendly and supportive finance team. This is a hands-on role offering real variety, supporting the day-to-day finance operations across the business.
From payroll and VAT through to reconciliations and bookkeeping, you'll play a key role in ensuring the finance function runs smoothly.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys operational finance and wants to remain close to the numbers within a collaborative business that genuinely looks after its people.

The Role!
As the Bookkeeper, you'll support the day-to-day finance operations across the business, ensuring financial processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
You'll be responsible for:
- Processing payroll across multiple entities.
- Preparing and submitting RTI returns and pension uploads.
- Managing quarterly VAT returns and ensuring compliance.
- Reconciling bank accounts and maintaining accurate financial records within Xero.
- Reviewing, approving and processing employee expenses.
- Processing supplier invoices and supporting payment runs.
- Supporting the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journals and assisting with reporting.
- Assisting with month-end reporting and wider finance administration.
- Supporting bookkeeping activities across multiple entities.
- Working with finance systems including Xero, BrightPay and Pleo.
- Providing operational finance support across the wider business.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You'll enjoy the operational side of finance and be looking for a role where you can remain hands-on across a broad range of finance responsibilities.

You'll come from a strong bookkeeping or transactional finance background and have practical experience managing VAT, payroll and day-to-day finance processes. You're organised, detail-oriented and enjoy working as part of a supportive team where everyone pulls together.

- Confident using Xero or similar accounting software.
