About The Role

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in bookkeeping or accounting, with relevant qualifications such as AAT or equivalent being advantageous. Previous experience working with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks or Xero, is preferred. Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple client accounts are essential. Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude are necessary to provide exceptional client service. The candidate should also demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. A background in professional services or a similar industry will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

As a Bookkeeper at Interaction Recruitment, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities for a diverse client base, including data entry, invoice processing, and expense management
  • Reconciling bank statements, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other statutory reports
  • Collaborating closely with the accounts team, assisting in preparing financial statements and supporting audit processes
  • Providing excellent client service by responding to queries promptly and maintaining professional relationships
  • Engaging in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge within the role
