We are looking for a reliable, highly organised and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join a fast-paced and creative business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong bookkeeping experience who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day financial processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, managing payments and cash flow, and working closely with the wider team to ensure the finance function operates smoothly.
The role also includes responsibility for coordinating domestic and international flight bookings, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied position with a broad range of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day bookkeeping, including sales invoices, purchase invoices, bank and credit card reconciliations, and expenses.
- Use accounting and expense management systems to maintain accurate financial records.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure receipts and supporting documentation are uploaded correctly and promptly.
- Proactively chase missing receipts, invoices, and credit notes from team members and suppliers.
- Resolve discrepancies and ensure ledgers remain accurate and up to date.
- Manage the accounts inbox and respond promptly to supplier and client queries.
- Run regular payment cycles, prioritising payments against available cash.
- Maintain a rolling short-term cash flow forecast and highlight potential pressure points to the Finance Director.
- Manage supplier relationships and payment terms.
- Ensure all ledgers are fully reconciled and month-end ready.
- Prepare month-end supporting schedules, including accruals, prepayments, deferred income, project costs, and depreciation, for review by the Finance Director.
- Run payroll and ensure PAYE and pension postings are accurate following approval.
- Support year-end processes and liaise with external accountants.
- Take ownership of flight bookings across the business, covering both domestic and international travel.
- Act as the key point of contact for flight changes, updates, and cancellations.
- Liaise with the wider team, booking agents, and airlines to secure appropriate and cost-effective travel arrangements.
- Maintain a consolidated and continually updated record of flight information.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
