Job Description
Greenwave Logistics LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Remote Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to support the company's accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and supporting the accounting team in ensuring efficient day-to-day financial operations. Greenwave Logistics provides transportation and logistics services across multiple U.S. locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping transactions.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare invoices, billing statements, and payment records.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accounting databases.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and account summaries.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on customer payments.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Organize digital financial files and maintain confidential accounting records.
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk, or similar role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial recordkeeping.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
- Familiarity with invoicing, freight billing, and transportation-related accounting.
- Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting procedures.
- Experience with ERP or cloud-based accounting systems.
