Remote | Approx. 20 hours per week | Self-employed consultant

MOMENTUM Business Support is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper & Accounts person to join our UK-based team of consultants.

This is a varied role for someone who knows their way around the numbers but is equally comfortable getting stuck into the day-to-day administration that keeps a business running smoothly.

You won’t be looking after just one set of books. We provide remote back-office support to a diverse range of SMEs and organisations across the UK, so you’ll work across different clients, systems and requirements.

If you enjoy variety, take pride in getting things right and can confidently manage your own workload, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing

Your work will vary between clients and could include:

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Sales and purchase ledger management
  • Bank and account reconciliations
  • Raising and processing invoices
  • Credit control and debtor management
  • Payroll processing
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Supporting year-end accounts and filing requirements for individuals and sole traders
  • Companies House administration, including confirmation statements and routine filings
  • General accounts administration and reporting
  • General business administration and PA support when required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
