Role Description
The Bookkeeper role at Peak Rock Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in London. The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial records, including processing invoices, posting journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and maintaining accurate ledgers. The role includes preparing and updating financial statements, monitoring accounts payable and receivable, and supporting monthly and year-end closing activities. The Bookkeeper will use accounting software to record transactions, run standard reports, and help ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant financial regulations. The position also involves working closely with management to provide timely financial information and supporting external accountants as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate data entry and maintenance of ledgers and journals.
- Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and basic finance reports.
- Proficiency with accounting software and related tools used for recording and tracking financial transactions.
- Experience posting journal entries and reconciling accounts in an accounting or finance environment.
- Attention to detail, strong numeracy, and sound organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently on-site in London and communicate clearly with colleagues and external partners.
- Prior experience in a small business or retail/product-focused environment is beneficial.
- Relevant qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (e.g., AAT, equivalent certification, or comparable experience) is preferred.
