Bookkeeper - Accountancy Practice
Reading - £28,000 to £35,000 per annum base - AAT Qualified or studier
My client has been established for over 30 years, services clients across the Thames Valley, and is an SME Accounting firm with an employee headcount of 10. This client has an average tenure across their team of 12 years of service.
This position is a full-time office-based position.
The client is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to manage all double entry bookkeeping duties for their client portfolio and manage all monthly VAT returns. MUST be AAT Qualified or at least studying AAT.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
- Daily Bookkeeping using Xero including bank reconciliations and processing client invoices
- Reviewing bookkeeping prepared by other team members and juniors
- Preparing and filing monthly and quarterly VAT Returns
- Training clients on Xero

Requirements:
- AAT Qualified or actively studying AAT
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accountancy Practice environment
- Clear recent experience with end-to-end practice bookkeeping, managing a bookkeeping portfolio, and experience preparing VAT returns.
- XERO Certified or at least 2 years using Xero or Quickbooks as a bookkeeping system
What is on offer:
- Base salary between £28,000 to £35,000 per annum
