TPF Recruitment are delighted to be representing a well-established, independent firm of Chartered Accountants in High Wycombe that is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join its growing team.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing bookkeeping and VAT responsibilities for a varied portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining bookkeeping records for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and journals
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Assisting with management accounts where appropriate
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software and providing guidance where needed
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring deadlines are met
- Working closely with accountants and managers to provide an efficient service

Requirements
Ideally you'll have:
- Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper within a UK accountancy practice
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and/or Sage
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- AAT qualification (or studying towards AAT) would be advantageous but is not essential
