Bookkeeper – Bury

£27,000 - £31,000 + Benefits

A rapidly growing, well-established accountancy practice in Bury is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Bookkeeper to join their expanding team.

You'll manage your own portfolio of 3-6 clients across a mix of industries, ensuring their bookkeeping needs are met to a high standard. This is a busy, varied role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy and meeting new people - full handover and client-specific training provided.

The role:

  • A mix of office based and client facing (WFH 1 day after probation)
  • Purchase and sales ledger, raising and entering invoices in Sage/Xero
  • Processing sales and purchase orders
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT returns, working to strict HMRC deadlines
  • Working with multiple currencies, bank accounts and departments
  • CIS experience beneficial (import/export)
  • Producing accounts to trial balance stage (beneficial)
  • General day-to-day accounts and office administration

What you'll need:

  • AAT qualified
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping role
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working offsite
  • Full UK driving licence (own transport required for client visits)
