Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of UK-based bookkeeping experience, preferably within financial services, real estate, or investment sectors. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with compliance, and supporting day-to-day finance operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all company entities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial reports
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax filings
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with HMRC and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain records of financial transactions and handle data entry
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience in the UK
- Solid understanding of UK accounting standards and VAT regulations
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
- Strong Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications
- AAT qualified or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working in investment, property, or finance environments
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance
