Part-Time Bookkeeper
About Williams & Yates
Williams & Yates is a forward-thinking company operating in the Removals & Storage sector. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and seamless solutions for our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a meticulous, reliable, and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team and work closely alongside our Finance Manager. This is an important role within the business, supporting the Finance Manager with the day-to-day financial operations and helping ensure our accounts are accurate, up to date, and running smoothly.
The Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper, with working hours negotiable depending on the successful candidate's experience and availability. Our preference is for the successful candidate to work across 5 days per week, even if this is on a reduced number of hours each day. We are open to discussing different working patterns for the right person.
Working alongside our Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration of the business. You will help ensure transactions are processed accurately, accounts are reconciled, invoices are managed, and outstanding debts are followed up promptly.
This role would suit someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing their own workload while working closely with our Finance Manager.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
