Bookkeeper (Remote UK)

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support accurate financial record-keeping and day-to-day bookkeeping activities. This is a great opportunity for someone at the entry level who has a good understanding of bookkeeping principles, enjoys working with numbers, and can maintain accurate records while working independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Record income, expenses, invoices, and payments
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Assist with bank and account reconciliations
  • Maintain organised financial documentation and records
  • Identify and help resolve discrepancies in financial data
  • Support the preparation of basic financial reports
  • Ensure information is recorded accurately and confidentially
  • Work independently while meeting agreed deadlines

Requirements

  • Good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial records
  • Good Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work accurately with confidential information
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Relevant bookkeeping, accounting, or finance education/experience is beneficial
