Role and Responsibilities
Due to continued growth, the business is looking for an Experienced Practice/Client Bookkeeper to join our friendly, well-established accountancy practice team at the Luton office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,200-£38,200.00 per annum (dependent on experience)

- Maintaining bookkeeping records for a diverse client portfolio.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations.
- Processing sales and purchase ledgers.
- Assisting with management accounts where required.
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide ongoing support.
- Working with cloud-based accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
About You
To be successful, you’ll ideally have:
- At least two years’ bookkeeping experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
- AAT qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Competent with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experienced with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.

This is an office-based position.
Working hours: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
