Summary
Keltbray is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, performing reconciliations and supporting the wider finance team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process purchase ledger invoices and ensure correct coding and authorisation.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding queries.
- Maintain cashbooks and accurately record financial transactions.
- Process supplier payments in line with agreed payment schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting activities.
- Prepare and post journals where required.
- Reconcile intercompany and balance sheet control accounts.
- Monitor aged creditors and support cash flow management.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries.
- Assist with CIS-related administration and documentation where required.
- Support external audits by providing financial information and records.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.
- Undertake any other ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Manager.

Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant or similar finance role.
- AAT qualified
- Good understanding of purchase ledger, reconciliations and bookkeeping principles.
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
