About The Role

We are partnering with a well-established practice based in Lisburn to recruit a dedicated Bookkeeper/Accounts Technician on a full-time, permanent basis. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess relevant practice experience and demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles. Essential qualifications include ATI (Association of Taxation Technicians) qualification or an equivalent certification. Experience liaising with clients and managing bookkeeping duties is highly desirable. Candidates should also have a proactive attitude towards learning legislation and accounting systems, along with excellent communication skills. A commitment to professional development and a desire to grow within the accountancy field are key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with current legislation and deadlines.
  • Managing bookkeeping duties for a diverse portfolio of clients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Providing support and advice to clients on financial and tax-related matters, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Learning and applying relevant legislation to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Gaining exposure to various accounting systems and software to enhance technical proficiency.
  • Assisting with other accounting duties as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the practice.
  • Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to expand your skill set and knowledge base.
