Part-Time Bookkeeper | Dorking | Flexible Hours

Looking for a bookkeeping role that works around your life? We're recruiting for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a friendly, supportive and well-established team based in Dorking. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexibility, whether that's around childcare, family commitments or other interests outside of work.

The Role

  • 20-25 hours per week (depending on the individual)
  • Hours can be split to suit you
  • Ideally 2 days per week in the office
  • Flexible working hours, open to discussion
  • Salary equivalent to £36,000-£38,000 FTE (pro rata depending on hours)

Responsibilities

  • Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses and sole traders
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Preparing end-of-month and year-end accounts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting clients with day-to-day finance queries
  • Liaising with accountants and clients where required

Requirements

  • Previous bookkeeping experience
  • Experience preparing end-of-month and year-end accounts
  • Confident preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
